Mazingira Day – Tree Planting Event
Kiirua Technical Training Institute, through its Greening Warriors Initiative, marked Mazingira Day with a tree planting exercise held on 10th October 2025 at the Institute’s Grounds.
The event aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainability, in line with the government’s agenda of achieving a greener and climate-resilient Kenya. Students, staff, and community members actively participated in planting indigenous trees across the campus to enhance the institute’s environmental outlook and contribute to the Greening TVET initiative.
Speaking during the event, the organizers emphasized the importance of youth involvement in climate action and sustainable development.
Kiirua TTI remains committed to fostering a culture of environmental stewardship and innovation among trainees — ensuring that technical education goes hand in hand with ecological responsibility.
